01 / THE TASK
What the project needed
Bring together a hiking club's public journal and its member tools: route descriptions and GPX tracks, planned outings, publications and records of verified participation.
02 / MY WORK
What I worked on
I worked on the Russian and English interface, the Go backend and deployment. The application connects public pages, invitation-only accounts and organizer tools.
03 / THE PRODUCT
How people use it
Find a route
Read the route description, view photos and download its GPX track.
Plan an outing
Check the club calendar and respond to a planned outing. Organizers review participation requests.
Prepare a publication
Create a route or trip report with photos, videos and tracks, then publish the prepared version.
Record participation
Confirm who actually took part and award points according to club rules. A signup alone does not earn points.

04 / IMPLEMENTATION
Decisions behind the product
Separate drafts and published content
Saving edits leaves the reader-facing version unchanged. Publishing is a separate action, so organizers can prepare changes before readers see them.
Participation records without duplicate awards
Results and points are saved together. Retrying the same request does not award points twice, and corrections retain an audit history.
Background image processing
Previews are processed separately from larger images and become available in the library first. Members can continue uploading while the other versions are prepared.
About this case study
Kojori Coins are internal club points. The application does not handle cryptocurrency or payments.
